Spay/Neuter

MS Critterz offers low cost spay/neuter services to the public. Services are provided by local veterinarian clinics. If you are interested in scheduling an appointment for your pet to be spayed/neutered, please call 662.832.6727 to set up an appointment during our public business hours.

Pre-surgical Information

Before your pet is spayed/neutered, the night before your scheduled appointment, do not feed your pet after 10:00 pm. If your pet is under 4 months of age, talk to our staff. Water can be provided, but no food should be given until after the surgery has been completed.

Surgery Day

On the day of the appointment, you will drop off your pet at MS Critterz between 8:15 - 8:30 am secured in a crate. Pick-ups following surgery is typically around 4:30 to 5:00 pm. Times may vary in accordance with personal clients at local vet clinics.

Post-Surgery

Following surgery, your pet may still be drowsy. Only feed approximately half the amount of food and provide water and let your pet rest. Surgical incisions should not get wet for 10 days following surgery. If your pet is licking the incision, you may have to purchase a cone to prevent licking to keep the incision from opening.

Cost

The cost for surgery is as follows, but in the event of complications, or if females are in heat/pregnant, an additional fee of $60 will be charged. In the event of any other surgical problems, you will be required to pay additional fees incurred. Proof of rabies vaccination is required prior to surgery. If your pet is not current on their rabies vaccination, an additional cost will be included for a rabies vaccination.

Rabies Vaccination

Feline and Canine $20.00
